Hi, I'm Tasha — and yes, "easy" is the whole point.

I'm Tasha Boyd: certified personal trainer, twelve-year group fitness instructor, and the coach behind Easy Workout Plans.

Let me tell you where this site actually comes from, because it isn't a boutique studio. I spent twelve years teaching at a community recreation center in Michigan. My 9 a.m. class regularly held a sixty-eight-year-old with two knee replacements, a twenty-four-year-old athlete, someone six weeks postpartum, and someone who hadn't exercised since high school gym. All in the same room. All in the same hour.

That teaches you one thing above everything else: every movement has to work three ways, or it doesn't work at all. Supported, standard, harder. If a plan only serves the middle of the room, it isn't a plan — it's a filter. Four thousand classes and three hundred one-on-one clients later, that rule is still the foundation of everything I write here.

Then it got personal. After my second pregnancy and a herniated disc, I spent fourteen months rebuilding from walking-to-the-mailbox level. I had the certifications on my wall — NASM personal trainer, corrective exercise, group fitness, senior fitness, pre and postnatal — and I still couldn't find a plan I could follow. Everything was too long, advanced by week two, missing rest days, and written as though skipping a Wednesday meant starting the whole thing over.

I remember thinking: I know exactly what to do, and this is still unusable. So what is everyone else supposed to do?

That question became this website in 2019. It's been my full-time work since 2022, and I still teach two classes a week at the rec center — because that room is full of real bodies with real Tuesdays, and it keeps me honest.

Here's what Easy Workout Plans promises you:

Plans built to be finished. Realistic session lengths, rest days printed right into the schedule, deload weeks, and a straight answer for when you miss a day — which is never "start over."
Honest completion rates. Every plan gets beta-tested by a volunteer reader group before it goes live, and I publish how they actually did: "18 of 25 finished all four weeks; most drop-off happened in week 3, so I rebuilt week 3." If the number is bad, that's a design problem, not a discipline problem.
Three versions of every move. Supported, standard, and harder — on the same page, in the same instructions. Nobody gets sent to a footnote.
Time that means what it says. When I write twenty minutes, I mean twenty minutes including the warm-up. Not twenty plus a warm-up plus a cooldown you find out about later.
No shame, no bodies for sale. You won't find before-and-after body photos here, or "problem areas," or "earn your dinner," or anything about burning off what you ate. I watched shame push people out of my classes for twelve years. Progress here is measured in reps, range of motion, energy, sleep, and whether you can carry all the groceries in one trip.
Honest limits. I'm a certified trainer and group instructor — not a doctor, physical therapist, or dietitian. Pain, injuries, postpartum clearance, and any medical condition go to the right professional, every single time. And I don't write calorie targets or meal plans; that's a dietitian's job, and it should be.

These days I write from Grand Rapids, out of a garage gym containing exactly what I recommend anyone buy: a mat, two pairs of dumbbells, a bench, and a resistance band I've replaced four times. Around here you'll also find my husband Andre, a school bus driver and my most stubborn client, who has been "about to start the mobility work" since roughly 2021; our kids Malik and Nia, the latter of whom has formally categorized burpees as "a punishment invented by adults"; and Biscuit, a large rescue dog who interprets every floor exercise as an invitation.

If you're starting from zero, starting over, or starting around a job, a kid, and about four spare minutes — you're exactly who I built this for. Pick a plan you can actually finish. That's the one that works.
